Mammals of Corkscrew

Corkscrew Swamp is home to 34 species of mammals.
Mammals play an important role in ecosystems. While many people instantly think of larger charismatic megafauna (such as the Florida Panther, Florida Black Bear, River Otter, and White-tailed Deer), there are many other mid-sized to small mammals that call the sanctuary home.
These include but aren't limited to:  Bobcat, Coyote, Gray Squirrel, Raccoon, Nine-banded Armadillo, Opossum, Marsh Rabbit, Cottontail Rabbit, and multiple bat and mouse species.
