Sarah has been a part of the Audubon flock since 2019 and is the Senior Development Manager for Audubon Florida. Sarah serves as a relations manager for philanthropic partnerships that support Audubon’s work throughout Southwest Florida and Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary’s education, research, and land management programs.
Hailing from Indianapolis, Sarah has lived and worked in conservation in Florida since 2013. She earned her BA in Spanish and a certificate in business from Hanover College. Prior to joining Audubon, Sarah served as the Associate Director of the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society – Friends of the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island. Sarah’s nearly 10 years of fundraising experience also includes the higher education sector as well as earning her Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Indiana University Lilly School of Philanthropy.
Conservation is not only a professional calling of Sarah’s, but also a personal passion. She enjoys every outdoor nature activity and spends her free time hiking, kayaking, fishing, beaching, birding, and boating. Sarah values contributing to her communities and has completed the Associate Leadership Collier program. She has held volunteer posts with the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s sea turtle program and the Young Professionals Association of Sanibel & Captiva.
