Night Walks at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary
Enjoy a night in the swamp on this Audubon Naturalist guided walk which brings you into the swamp when the nocturnal animals are out and vocal, and on a clear night the night sky is especially nice here. You never know what you will hear or see on a visit to Corkscrew Sanctuary but a night visit should bring the sounds of calling insects, possibly owls and alligators and most likely a surprise or two! You will also learn about the nocturnal biodiversity of the swamp and adaptations that enable nocturnal wildlife to thrive.
Your Naturalist will meet you in our parking lot fifteen minutes prior to the departure time. We will be walking the entire boardwalk (2 miles in length). A night visit to the swamp will make this an evening you won't soon forget.
*Participants should not bring white-light flashlights, as those ruin everyone's night vision. We will have red-light flashlights that we will bring along in case we want to use them.
There is a total limit of 10 participants on each Night Walk. Ages 12 and up are welcome on this walk.
Upcoming Dates and Times: TBD
