Hours:

The boardwalk is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Please note that boardwalk admission closes at 4:30 p.m.  (Last boardwalk admission is one hour before closing time.)

All visitors must be off the boardwalk before the closing time unless a special program is being conducted by the Corkscrew staff. One day a month from October through March, we offer  "Corkscrew After Hours." This is the only time that we allow visitors on the boardwalk after dark.  This regulation was established to minimize the impact on wading birds that roost or nest near the boardwalk.

This regulation applies each month of the year. Unauthorized vehicles found in the parking area after 6 p.m. may be towed at the owner's expense.

Please lock your car, leave nothing visible inside your car to passers-by and take all valuables with you.

Please leave your pets at home where they are comfortable. For everyone's safety, we allow only service animals on the boardwalk.

Warning about flies:

Yellow flies and deer flies are on the wing in Florida from March to November, with the peak season being April through June. All exposed parts of the victim’s body may be attacked, and since the flight is rather quiet, a person is not aware of the fly until the sharp pain of the bite is felt.  Flies are visual as well as odor hunters, so a repellent containing DEET may deter them somewhat, but it will not stop them. The best protection is to wear long sleeves and long pants during the flies’ peak season.

Admission Fees:

Admission is valid for two consecutive days.  Ticket prices include self-guided access to the boardwalk and Blair Audubon Visitor Center. On days when guided tours are offered, they are complimentary with the price of admission.
