Jeffrey "Lee" Martin

Research Technician

Jeffrey "Lee" Martin received a B.S. in Environmental Ecology from Shawnee State University (Portsmouth, Ohio) in 2016. As an undergraduate, he traveled twice to Costa Rica to assist biologists with mist netting, shorebird surveys, sea turtle surveys, caiman surveys, herpetofauna surveys, and mammal surveys. Before joining the Corkscrew team in March 2018 he worked as a park ranger in Ohio, a forestry aid in Montana, a seasonal keeper at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and a wildlife technician in Colorado. As the field technician for the Western Everglades Research Center, Lee is the field crew leader, manages field and lab data, and coordinates intern and volunteer assistance.
