Community Science
Corkscrew's current community science programs are set up to promote environmental awareness and actively engage the public in the collection of data on bird and butterfly species in and near the Sanctuary. The information collected by our community scientists is used to improve local and national knowledge of bird and butterfly distribution and population trends. Information collected can also be incorporated into natural resource management plans.
