Mica Rumbach attended Iowa State University (Ames, IA) graduating with a B.S. in Animal Ecology in 2012. Since then she has conducted field research associated with several projects across North America, including conservation work on the federally threatened Northern Idaho ground squirrel, grizzly bear use of man-made trails in the Canadian Eastern Rockies, and the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on Lousiana salt marshes. As the field technican for the Western Everglades Research Center, Mica is the crew leader for field work, manages field and lab data, and coordinates intern and volunteer assistance.
