Mandi Ferris joined the Audubon flock in 2023.  Originally from Texas, she worked for the College Station Independent School District as a staff member counselor where she led and supervised K-5 students while earning her B.S. in environmental studies at Texas A&M University.

Mandi grew up visiting family in Naples and always considered it her second home and happy place. In high school, she took an environmental science class and joined the environmental science club, where she taught conservation to younger kids in the area. That was when she realized she had an interest in sharing conservation with others and decided she would pursue a career related to environmental issues.

"I loved learning about the flora and fauna of Southwest Florida as well as the importance of conservation in the area," she said.

Before joining our flock, she worked as an education and animal husbandry intern at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida and volunteered with the research department at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.

Welcome, Mandi!
