Corkscrew will host a local Butterfly Orientation Workshop and Walk on May 24, 2023 and June 26, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
This workshop will begin in the classroom of our Blair Audubon Center and will help participants learn more about local butterflies and their host plants and how to identify commonly seen species. We will also go on an outdoor excursion, for about an hour and a half, into our pollinator garden and different habitats to practice identification skills.
Participants will need to sign a release form to go on the walk. Participants should dress for the weather, wear comfortable close-toed walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a water bottle, and binoculars.
Attendance at this training is free, and you are welcome to explore the boardwalk after the program.

Additionally, people with an interest in helping survey our local butterflies are invited to join us on July 12, 2023 for Corkscrew's July NABA Butterfly Count.
