Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary Announces 2025 Member Lecture Series

Monthly lectures are free for current members.

The Corkscrew Member Lecture Series continues the first Friday of each month beginning January through April 2025. These free, hour-long presentations are offered at 11 a.m. and cover a variety of conservation topics including landscaping for birds, new discoveries from trail cameras, and more!

The lecture topics and presenters include: 

Jan. 3 | Wings Along the Water: Exploring Shorebirds in Southwest Florida with Megan Hatten, senior project coordinator for Audubon Florida 

Feb. 7  |  Life Above and Below the Water's Surface with Alex Meinders, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary research technician

March 7 | A Bird’s Eye View: The Use of Drones in Wetland Monitoring with Jacob Zetzer, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary restoration technician 

April 4 | Native Orchids and Bromeliads of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary with Sally Stein, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary director of public programs.
