Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is one of only 40 nonprofits in Collier County selected to participate in Give Where You Live Collier (GWYLC) day on February 9-10. This 24-hour online fundraiser, hosted by the Community Foundation of Collier County and the Richard M. Schulze Foundation, offers proportional matching gifts and prizes to all participating nonprofits.
Built upon the idea that everyone can be a philanthropist, this special day provides an easy way to support the nonprofits that influence Collier County and reminds the community of the importance of making a difference where you live (and love to visit!).
While the fundraiser is based in Collier County, people from anywhere and everywhere are encouraged to participate! Whether you live in Collier County full-time, just for the winter months, or visit the area for a week, we hope you’ll participate by making a gift to support Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and other nonprofits that make our community special.
Participating is easy! Here’s how:
1. Gifts from Donor Advised Funds, stock gifts, and IRA gifts are welcomed and encouraged! These can be pre-arranged now. Please contact Audubon development manager Sarah Lathrop for instructions.
2. Make an online gift beginning at noon on February 9 through noon on February 10 through the official Give Where You Live Collier Day webpage.
We hope you’ll participate and thank you for your support of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary! Your gift directly benefits the wildlife, and people, who rely on this special place.
