As we ring in the year 2021, we can all agree that 2020 is one that will not be forgotten. We are especially proud of the work that we accomplished and the creative ways that we got out of our comfort zones to achieve our important mission of protecting 13,000 acres of sensitive wetlands and other habitats. Importantly, we were able to make this special place safely accessible to our visitors. We all need to soak in the swamp once in a while – just being in nature is good for the soul.
We are hopeful that the “new normal” we are all anticipating will bring us closer together, and give us new inspiration as we plot our course through the coming year. At the link below you will find a multi-media experience that strives to encapsulate all of the excitement, and some of the hurdles, we encountered over the past year. This recap covers many aspects of Sanctuary operations including Public Engagement, Research, Land Management, and more.
Please join us in reviewing the year 2020 and celebrating these successes. We look forward to sharing many more.
